The Beech Quilt

Published:

Time for the grand reveal of my Beech Quilt. I did a community poll to pick the colour scheme for my quilt the winner was Orange and Navy. Orange is not only is my favourite colour but happens to be a very colourblind friendly choice of colours.

This pattern turned out really well and it’s great fun to make it. It comes in baby and throw sizes and it’s fast to put together. It also has a two tone and four tone option for colouring.

This was the first time I have used a Wing Clipper for flying geese and I found this ruler really helpful and made the process of trimming them much faster.

One nice touch I did appreciate, was that Lindsey included colouring pages for @prequilt which made choosing and auditioning colours so fast.

Please do check out the pattern which has been released, and if you haven’t tried PreQuilt, go check them out as it’s an amazing tool!

You can also see all the other amazing quilts made by my fellow testers using the hashtag #thebeechquilt.
