Another quilt pattern test done and dusted. Pattern test number 8 of 2021!
I enjoyed making this pattern, it was really easy to make, and I have lots of ideas for how to quilt it.
As this is a pattern for beginners, I decided to use the simplicity of the piecing to allow me to work on a complicated colour palette. This is the first time I’ve worked on shades of the same colour.
I think the colours worked out well and Iv’e received quite a few compliments about it. If I could make one tweak it would be to move the Navy to the outside (top row, 2nd colour from the left) so it was darkest to lightest, but it still looks great.
The pattern has already released so be sure to check it out!
I have another pattern test for Alderwood Studio coming up at the end of this month, which is a real showstopper, can’t wait to show you all that!
Pattern: Simplicity Quilt by Alderwood Studio
Fabric: Kona Solids, Moda Bella Solids and Makower Spectrum
